Help the world better understand what it’s like to be Black in America.
Give members of the Black community a platform to share their experiences, fears, joys, and anything else they’d like to share–in their own words and outside of the sensationalized mainstream media apparatus.
Much of the world only knows the Black community through what they see on screens. Unfortunately, the rich people that control those screens can’t make money by showing what it’s really like to be Black. By the time we see images of police violence, protest, and injustice, we’ve missed the centuries of systemic racism, implicit bias, and straight-up hate that led to that “breaking news."
Let members of the Black community speak for themselves in an intimate, uncensored, and safe space. This is a public therapy session.
This will never be about us. This is about the Black community and their truths–but we know people will ask. Walk With Me is a joint collaboration between Ghost Label Video and bond creative + branding. As filmmakers and creatives, we have unique tools and resources to offer to this movement. This is our contribution.
It started when Kevin, Benji, and Dorian–three white guys from Ghost Label Video– said, “I want to better understand what black people in America are going through.” And Drew from bond creative + branding said, “Ok.”
Everyone got to work and here we are.
